About Mihkel Teemant
Mihkel Teemant (pronounced for U.S. of American citizens as "Michael Tea-mont") is an American writer, and comedian who currently resides in the Los Angeles area.
Along with stand up comedy, Mihkel also writes sketches, short stories, and non-fiction.
Born in 1983, Mihkel Teemant grew up in Barstow, California until the age of 10 years old, when his parents finally got the right idea and got the hell out of there to the hotter and more sinful geographic area known as Henderson, Nevada (known by tourists as that place my aunt lives at in Las Vegas).
He hated that dry, hot place until the age of 21, when you can finally do anything the city has to offer. He played in a variety of bands from 18-26 years of age including a number of ensembles that played gigs throughout the Las Vegas area and ventured to Reno. Around the age of 26 years old, Mihkel started becoming serious about a love he'd had since high school: stand up comedy.
At 27 years old, Mihkel asked a friend if he could perform some of his new stand up act, which was awful, but met with much applause thanks to the pity of friends in the audience. Being two years into a journalism degree Mihkel finished at College of Southern Nevada (CSN) in Las Vegas and got accepted at California State University of Northridge (CSUN), where he moved to the Valley in L.A. and began doing stand up while he waited to get accepted into the CSUN Journalism program.
Mihkel currently is finishing his last year of school at CSUN where he will be receiving a Bachelors degree in Journalism and continues to perform his stand up throughout the L.A.
